
After much anticipation and a significant amount of patience, it appears Canadian shipments for the next-generation 3G iPhone have arrived in Vancouver. A report from ImportGenius indicates Schenker had a number of shipments that had an arrival notification address in Vancouver, Canada. Combined with confirmation from both Apple and Rogers, these shipments appear to coincide with the expected 3G iPhone announcement at the WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference) on June 9th. Here is a quote from the ImportGenius report: The initial shipments were followed on March 27, April 28, May 6 and May 17 with an additional 44 containers—each containing an estimated 40,000 units of the new phone. The sixteen containers imported by Apple Inc. itself—as opposed to the Quanta subsidiary—were delivered on March 19 and 27 to the Jonestown, Pa. facilities of Ingram Micro, Apple’s U.S. distribution partner.
