Our management team at BuildDirect was at a recent 2-day leadership conference called "Mastering the Rockefeller Habits". I must admit, I was a little skeptical going to that conference. After finishing the conference I can't say it was anything less that amazing. Our company will definitely be looking back on this as a catalyst that propels us to not only the next level but well beyond that. I can already see the transformation taking place - both at a senior level, and now being dispersed through the rest of our team. Why this and why now?
I first thought about writing a blog several months ago. I feel that the experiences learned from being immersed in a growing, thriving company such as ours can give others an insight that is hard to find elsewhere. At our company, we are trying to change an industry while creating a company that will survive even our children's children. And changing an industry like the building industry is, to people without a dream, almost insurmountable. To accomplish this, we use technology to overcome many of the hurdles facing one of the most fragmented industries in the world. We provide a service to our customers as well as the products we sell we need to adapt and change with technology while staying focused to our core vision.
